It’s a hands-on workshop in Brussels where participants make chocolate from scratch — literally from bean to bar. You’ll taste, grind, melt, and craft your own chocolate, make 3 chocolate bars (to take home) and create a small natural cocoa-based skincare product.
The session runs for approximately 1 hour, a compact but immersive introduction to bean-to-bar chocolate making.
You’ll make three chocolate bars, brew a cocoa tea, taste 100% chocolate directly from cocoa beans, and craft a small natural skincare product using cocoa & ground coffee beans.
The workshop takes place inside The Unusual Café in central Brussels, close to major landmarks and easy to reach by public transport. Google Map Link
Standard pricing is €34 for adults and €29 for children (6–12 years). Prices may be higher on busier days. You might find the same activity on travel agent sites such as Viator, TripAdvisor, Get Your Guide etc... those agencies charge us a commission between 22% and 30% therefore the price is usualy higher there than when you book directly with us on this page.
Children under 6 are not permitted. The workshop welcomes kids aged 6–12 with the child rate.
Yes. The workshop materials and recipes are prepared to be vegan and gluten free. Unfortunately we do not offer sugar free workshops.
Sessions are offered through the day in different languages: English, French, and Spanish. Refer to the Spanish website to find the schedule of Workshops in Spanish and so on for French.
Yes. Booking in advance is compulsory to guarantee your spot in the workshop.

The bean to bar Chocolate Workshop takes place at: Warmoesberg 49, Brussels (in French: Rue Montagne Aux Herbes Potageres 49) -MAP- inside the Unusual café. You can also get the best hot / cold chocolate drinks in town at The Unusual without joining the Workshop.

Yes. Children aged 6–12 can participate with the child rate, but children under 8 are not permitted. Families often enjoy the experience together. Kids cannot take part alone, they have to be joined by a participating, responsible adult. Note that we do not accept spectators.
This Bean to Bar workshop is the best value for money chocolate making activity in Brussels. We include vegan & gluten-free options at no extra cost. The activity is very "hands-on" and you leave with 3 selfmade chocolate bars! That's just unbeatable!
During busier days, prices may be higher and the Workshop can get fully booked. We usually have more participants on the weekend, especially on Saturday. It’s a good idea to book well in advance or try to join on weekdays.
You can modify your booking (change day, add / remove participants, cancel with full refund) up to 48h prior to the start of the booking by using the "modify" button within your confirmation email. We do not refund bookings cancelled less than 48h prior to the start of the activity.
Yes. The workshop is family-friendly and designed to be enjoyable for both kids and adults.
Go to our booking page (or click here), add the number of participants, pick a day on the calendar. You will then have to fill up your personnal & payment details. Tickets are issued in real time and you will receive an email with your ticket immediately after completing the payment. We accept a wide range of payment options such as Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Bancontact, WeChat, AliPay, Klarna, iDeal and many more!
No, unfortunately this activity is not wheelchair accessible as the only way to reach the workshop is through stairs.
